    The CLIVAR Exchanges newsletter is an un-refereed means of rapidly disseminating scientific results and information about the CLIVAR programme and related science and organisational issues.

    The articles that we accept often present preliminary results or summaries and are of limited length - contributions should not exceed three pages, INCLUDING figures.

  • Scientific Steering Group

    The 23rd session of the CLIVAR Scientific Steering Group (SSG) was held on November 27-30, 2017 in Pune, India, hosted by the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology where the International CLIVAR Monsoon Project Office is based.

  • CLIVAR/GEWEX Monsoons Panel

    GEWEX/CLIVAR Monsoons Panel addresses the global monsoons phenomenon and reports the overall progress in the scientific understanding of monsoons and gets benefit by the interaction of individuals and groups that study these various regions. GEWEX/CLIVAR Monsoons Panel has four working groups comprising of Asian-Australian Monsoon,African Monsoon and American Monsoon.

  • CLIVAR/IOC-GOOS IORP

    The CLIVAR/IOC-GOOS Indian Ocean Region Panel provides scientific and technical oversight for implementation of the sustained ocean observing system for the Indian Ocean and coordinates research on the role of the Indian Ocean on the climate system.

Welcome!

The International CLIVAR Monsoon Project Office (ICMPO) was established at IITM in October 2015 as a part of the International CLIVAR Project Office (ICPO). The ICPO operates through its two offices and contract staff, ICMPO is one and the other is the International CLIVAR Global Project Office (ICGPO) hosted by First Institute of Oceanography (FIO), Qingdao, China.
